Jakarta-Bandung HSR Project in Indonesia

  The Jakarta-Bandung HSR of Indonesia is the first 350km/h high-speed railway adopting Chinese standards outside China based on technical cooperation.

  The line is designed to have a total length of 142.3km and four stations. The Chinese consortium led by China Railway International Co., Ltd., affiliated to CHINA RAILWAY and the Indonesian consortium will collaborate in funding, construction, management and operation. On October 16, 2015, Kereta Cepat Indonesia Chna (KCIC) was incorporated in Indonesia. On April 4, 2017, KCIC and HSR Contractor Consortium formally signed the EPC contract for Jakarta-Bandung HSR project in Jakarta. On May 14, 2017, witnessed by the heads of state of China and Indonesia, the China Development Bank and KCIC formally signed a loan agreement on the Jakarta-Bandung HSR project.

  The construction of key engineering projects of Jakarta-Bandung HSR started In June 2018, and the whole project is under full swing. On December 12, 2018, the first box girder for Jakarta-Bandung HSR was casted at No.4 beam fabricating yard.

       On February 12, 2022, with the last box girder precast at the No.1 girder yard, the prefabrication task was completed for Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway, creating favorable conditions for subsequent construction.

       On February 18, 2022, No. 6 Tunnel, the longest tunnel on Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway, was successfully drilled through, marking significant progress in one more key critical works of the whole line and laying a solid foundation for the completion and opening to traffic of Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway.
